MATTERS DISCUSSED IN FOUR MONTHLY MEETING WITH HON.CPMG, MAHARASHTRA CIRCLE ON 18.06.2015 :
GIST OF MATTERS DISSCUSSED IN THE FIRST MEETING WITHOUT AGENDA ;
Other than the general line supervisors in Maharashtra circle there are 250/300 Grade I, 10/60 Grade II and 10/58 Grade III Postmaster cadre officials are serving. All are appointed on the basis of competitive examination conducted by Circle level. The syllabus are equal ant to the syllabus of IPs but unfortunately they are placed in 2800 grade pay whereas IPs are placed in 4200. They are the only cadre in DOP denied for further appearance of LDCE to Gr.B etc. A section of quality lower level managers are ignored by the department for its progress. They are neither consulted at divisional level nor RO/CO level to achieve the target. They are the qualified operative frontline managers.
This association requests that Postmaster Cadre Officials in Maharashtra circle should be given a berth while planning for development programmes. All operative, administrative issues and implementations should be shared with them. Workshops and group discussions should be included with the Postmaster cadre officials. They have their habit of working but not “only” reporting. Surely there should be a difference if the Postmaster Cadre officials will be given their place in development of Maharashtra Circle.
OTHER THAN THE ABOVE :
1. Financial liberty to do minor machinery repairs, stationery etc.
2. Workshop/ training to Postmasters
3. Motivational factors like falicitation/appriciation
4. Direct contact with each Postmasters.
5. McCamish training for Postmasters
It is accepted by Hon.CPMG that Postmasters are frontline managers.
It is assured that, Postmaster Officials will be inculded in Circle Monitering meeting, CMC. All Regions and divisions will be instructed to give berth to Postmaster cadre officials. All legitimate facilities will be provided to all Postmasters. All suggestions and bussiness leads from the Postmaster cadre officials are invited and will be given priority.
Hoping that orders in this regard will be issued soon.
Next meeting will be by November 15. All Postmasters are requested to please submit their points to include in agenda with written reference to Circle HQ by end of August 2015.
Before that please ensure that all are submitted their declaration forms to AIAPS (GL) within due date.
